€ 15.400,00 (to the owners: 5.950,00 – 2.618,00 – 1.428,00 – 714,00 and to the breeders: 1.820,00 – 700,00 – 280,00)
For three years-old males and fillies of Anglo-Arab breed entered in the stud-books of their country of birth recognized by the International Anglo Arab Federation with a percentage of Arab blood of at least or more than 25%. Weights: 57 kg. Additional weight of 1,5 kg for each earning of € 2.500,00 since 01.01.2019 (maximum additional weight 6 kg). Discharge of 5 kg. for the horses qualified in the Arab Fund.

“ANGLO ARAB CONFEDERATION” PRIZE (conditioned)
€. 9.900,00 (3.825,00 – 1.683,00 – 918,00 – 459,00 to the owners and 1.170,00 – 450,00 – 180,00 to the breeders).
For 4 year-olds and older males, fillies and geldings of Anglo-Arab breed entered in the stud-books of their country of birth recognized bu the International Anglo Arab Federation with a percentage of Arab blood of at least or more than 25%. Weights: 57 kg. Additional weight of 2 kg for each earning of € 3.000,00 since 01.01.2019 (maximum additional weight 6 kg). Discharge of 5 kg. for the horses qualified in the Arab Fund.

For 4, 5 and 6 years-old males, fillies and geldings entered in the Arabs stud-book of their country of birth member of WAHO and in possession of a passport. Weights: 4 year-olds 55 kg; 5 and 6 year-olds 56 kg. Additional weight of 2 kg for each earning of € 3.000,00 since 01.01.2019 (maximum additional weight 6 kg).

“B.B.A. ITALIA” PRIZE (handicap)

For 3 years old and older English thoroughbred fillies di 3 not winners of a superior prize money since 01.01.2019. Weight: 3 year-olds kg. 54, 4 year-olds and older kg. 58. Surcharge of kg.1,5 for each race or prize of €.2.500,00 won since 01.05.2019.

Article 1 : Races
The Mediterranean Horseracing Union (MHU), according to its Statute, in collaboration with the Agency for Agriculture AGRIS Sardinia (here following AGRIS) promotes the organization of two races for Arab thoroughbreds and Anglo-Arabs whose conditions will be the followings:

Prize money offered by AGRIS: € 15.400,00.

Races reserved to the horses trained in the Mediterranean Horseracing Union (MHU) active member countries who organize Arab Thoroughbreds and/or Anglo Arabs races or in a country invited by the MHU.
At the final starting declaration, two horses per country per race will be accepted within the maximum limit of 13 starters.
In case of elimination, a drawing between the countries will be performed in order to select the country/ies whose starters will be reduced to a sole horse. The horses of the so selected countries will be eliminated according to an increasing order of their earnings for victories and places from January 1st 2019 (the horses with less earnings will be eliminated). In case of equal earnings a further drawing will be performed.
Should less than 13 horses be finally declared starting, the complementary horses will be kept according to the decreasing order of their earnings for victories and places from January 1st 2019, notwithstanding their training country (the horses with more earnings will be kept). In case of equal earnings, a drawing will be performed.
The list of the jockeys engaged to ride in the races will have to be sent together with the horses entries.

Article 2 : Invited countries
Date of the races: July 26th 2019
Prize-money: financed by AGRIS – Agency for agriculture research of the independent Region of Sardinia.
Maximum number of starters: 13 starters per race.
Invited countries:
- The MHU active Members that organize races for Arab Thoroughbreds and/or Anglo Arabs: Algeria, Spain, France, Italy, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and Russia.
- Upon individual invitation, the countries wishing to become MHU members according to the MHU Statute.

Article 3: Participating horses
The horses entered in the Arab and Anglo-Arab stud-book of their country of birth, disposing of a passport and of a certificate of origins proving the inscription in the stud-books of the Anglo-Arab horses of their country of birth and/or of a WAHO member country, selected by each national horseracing authority MHU Member (or by the invited horseracing authority) in the number of two horses per country per race will have the right to participate in the races. Relating to Italy, the selection of the horses will be performed by AGRIS, financing the races.
A full copy of the horse passport, issued according to the Horseracing Authorities regulations, and a detailed performances sheet for each horse to be entered in the races, will have to be sent to Sassari racecourse within June 27th 2019 (entry deadline for the horses entered for the first time in Italy).
The foreign horseracing authorities will have to put a Visa valid as temporary export permit on the certificate of origins of the horses arriving from abroad. Foreign horses without this Visa will not be admitted in the race.
The races will take place according to the national Italian regulations.
Weights, earnings qualifications and races conditions will be decided by Sassari Racecourse, after the positive advice of AGRIS and the approval of MIPAAFT.

Article 4: Participating jockeys
The participating jockeys must have a valid riding license issued by the Italian or by a foreign horseracing authority and satisfy, before the final starting declaration, to all formalities requested by the Italian horseracing authority (MIPAAFT horseracing department) in order to ride in the race.
The invited countries (Algeria, France, Libya, Morocco, Russia, Spain and Tunisia) that should not enter their horses in the races may participate however sending two jockeys to represent their country, committing themselves to select prestigious and experienced jockeys.
These jockeys will ride horses put at their disposal by the local stables, assigned them through a public drawing made at the presence of a Mediterranean Horseracing Union representative and/or sent by video in real time to the MHU Technical Advisor.
If, at the closure of the pre-inscriptions, the number of jockeys of the Invited countries wishing to race should be higher than the number of the local available horses, the number of the jockeys participating in the challenge may be reduced to one per Country.
Among the jockeys of the Invited Countries riding in the two races a classification will be drawn, according to the arrival order of each race, assigning the following points: 10 points to the first; 8 to the second; 7 to the third; 6 to the forth; 5 to the fifth; 4 to the sixth; 3 to the seventh; 1 point to each participant not placed within the first 7 finishers. The results of the horses assigned to Italian jockeys not participating in the challenge will be excluded from the classification for the points attribution.
At the end of the two races a nations classification will be drawn. The highest point achieved by the jockeys of each country in each one of the races will be inserted in this classification. The jockey with the highest score among the jockeys of the winning nation will be awarded with the title of 2019 Sardinia Meeting Jockeys Challenge Champion. In case of aexequo the number of victories will be considered, then the number of best places and, should the æxequo persist, a drawing will be performed.
Sassari racecourse will offer honor prizes to the jockeys with the highest score representing the Nations classed first, second and third in the challenge and will ensure the payment of the jockeys tariff in force in its country to the foreign jockeys participating in the race, though an agreement with their National Horseracing Federations.

Article 5: Pre-entries and hospitality
Each Invited Country may enter two horses or two jockeys that will ride local horses for each of the two races.
The countries wishing to participate in this Championship will have to communicate to Sassari racecourse their intentions within June 13th 2019 (deadline of the pre-entries) specifying: how many horses they wish to enter, or, in alternative, how many jockeys, the number of persons wishing to assist to the races, the eventual need of assistance for the visa request in order to enter in Italy for the participating persons.
Sassari racecourse will take care of the hotel stay for 2 nights, of the transfers from and to the airport and of a social program for: owners, trainers and jockeys of the foreign horses (maximum 3 rooms per each horse) and two federation representatives (maximum 2 rooms per each federation), along with their wives.
Sassari racecourse will furthermore take care of the horses and lads accommodation at the racecourse.

Article 6: Exclusions
Sassari racecourse will inform the MHU members as well as the invited authorities of the entries intentions received as they arrive.
Being the number of horses allowed to participate in these races limited on regulations and technical reasons, should the engaged horses exceed the maximum number of authorized starters, an exclusion will be performed (according to the here enclosed race conditions at article 1).

Article 7: Final rules
Should a case not included in the present regulations arise, only the Mediterranean Horseracing Union office will be qualified for its solution.

SANITARY RULES :
The horses arriving from abroad will need to have valid sanitary documents proving their good health condition, that is to say no clinic signs of any infective or contagious diseases (Coggins test for infectious anemia, with negative result, made during the thirty (30) days before the exportation).
The flu vaccine certification made according to the European rules is also necessary (a copy of the page of the vaccine record-book reporting the last vaccines must be enclosed to the entry sheet).
The horses arriving from the African continent, in addition to the above documents and certifications, will also need to show the following additional sanitary documents needed for the temporary importation in France, seat of the sanitary port (Marseille) to be used to enter in the European Community:
- Fixation test of the dourine complement, with negative result with a dilution of 1/10, made during the ten (10) days before the exportation
- Fixation test of the glanders complement, with negative result with a dilution of 1/10, made during the ten (10) days before the exportation
– Research test of equine plague, as described in the attachment D of the Direction 90/426/CEE, that is to say:
- IN TWO TIMES, using blood specimens taken with an interval of time from 21 until 30 days, the second specimen to be taken ten (10) days before the exportation, with negative result, if the horse is not vaccinated or if there has been no growth of antibody should the horse have been vaccinated.

HORSES DOCUMENTS:
The temporary imported horses will have to deposit at the Racecourse secretary, one hour before the races meeting start, the following documents:
1) Horse passport;
2) Good standing declaration issued by the horseracing authority of the country of origin, that will have to be sent to MIPAAFT – Ufficio Tecnico Area Sella in writing within the starting declaration deadline but not before two days from that deadline. This document will have to certify that the horse has no penalties or restrictions, that the trainer has a regular training license and that the owner is regularly registered. Should this declaration not be provided, the horse may be excluded from the race or be submitted to a penalty.
3) Veterinary certification of the identification marks issued by the veterinarian charged by the Italian authorities at the racecourse. This certification, filled both in the graphic section and in the description using the 2014 form issued by the Administration for the description of the identification marks, will also have to report the microchip scanning result;
4) Performances sheet of the horse during its career issued by the Horseracing Authority of its country of origin.
The Racecourse secretary will have to immediately send a copy of the horse passport, of the veterinary certification described at point 3 and of the performances sheet to the Administration. Secretary fees are due for the deposit of the above documents.
Only horses entered in approved Stud Books are allowed to race in the races organized by the Administration (MIPAAFT – Italian horseracing authority).
